When Jesus was born in a manger, the only humans present were his parents Joseph and Mary. Come to think of it, more honored than us to witness this most sacred birth were the animals housed there at night.
What qualities were in those "dumb" creatures that made God the Father choose them over the noblest men of the land? Perhaps it was their untainted minds or incorruptible souls. Or, it was their guilelessness that created the befittingly simple ambience to welcome the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings who chose to be born in lowly circumstances.

Restoring Wildlife Habitat and Conservation of Biodiversity in Upper Caliban Imbang Watershed
The project aims to increase the habitat and conserve biodiversity within the Upper Caliban-Imbang Watershed (formerly known as the Bacolod City Watershed) area and portion of the Northern Negros Natural Park. Interventions of the project includes nursery development and operation, habitat restoration through assisted natural regeneration of 10 hectares within the project site, forest protection/patrolling activities and capacity building for the communities, to include biodiversity conservation education and sustainable livelihood options. Expedition Presents Findings To The Royal Geographical Society
In April this year, a joint UK-Philippines Negros Interior Biodiversity Expedition (NIBE) set out from Campuestohan in Talisay City to undertake the first biological exploration of the interior of the North Negros Natural Park (NNNP).
This is an environmental hotspot and one of the top ten most important areas of forest in the world. It had not been scientifically explored before.

Worlds Rarest Deer Found Alive And Well On Philippine Islands
July 2009. The Negros Interior Biodiversity Expedition (NIBE) has confirmed that it had found evidence of two groups of the Visayan Spotted Deer alive and well in the North Negros Natural Park (NNNP) in the Philippines. The team of experts recently returned from the first scientific exploration of the park interior where they recorded the presence of many endangered and endemic species, with several new species records for the NNNP.

Negros Interior Biodiversity Expedition Ends
The 2012 Negros Interior Biodiversity Expedition (NIBE) to the interior of the North Negros Natural Park (NNNP) ended on Tuesday.
The expedition team, comprising scientists, biologists, mountaineers, teachers and logistics experts from the UK and the Philippines, set off on March 24 to the park's interior on a mission to undertake a comprehensive survey of the rare and unique mammals inhabiting the area.
