Cruz in Laguna, the towa is about 3-4 hours away from the Metro. Being at the foothills of the Sierra Madre, the town lies in the shadow of Mt. Humarap, with the three crosses at the summit overlooking the entire town down below.

    I have long evaded the eastern part of my hometown province Laguna. Most of the time my thoughts are plagued by it being just within proximity where I live. But then, I know that this area is abound with cultural treasure just waiting to be discovered.

    Paete is one of several towns straddling southern parts of the Sierra Madre Range while Laguna de Bay can be seen at the northern part of the town.

    As in most old towns, the church is in the center. Paete Church stands along Quesada St., erected facing the waters in the early days.
