Balay Anito Falls is located around 4-5 kilometers from the main town of Santol, La Union. According to my guide, in the early times locals have sighted a ball of fire on this waterfall. In the paganistic tradition, balls of fire were spirits or "anitos." "Balay" means a house or a dwelling. Hence the name, Balay Anito.
