  • Kalinga All Set For 16th Matagoan Festival

    Tabuk City is all set for its 10th founding anniversary and 16th Matagoan Festival from Wednesday to Saturday, June 21 to 24.

    The four-day festivities will open with an ecumenical thanksgiving service followed by a socio-cultural program at the city gym.

    Highlighting the annual celebration is the search for Ms. Tabuk City 2017 with 18 beauties vying for the title.

    Kalinga Celebrates First Bodong Fest

    Thousands of tourists, and residents witnessed the first Bodong Festival of Kalinga which coincides with the province's 22nd founding anniversary.

    Previously called the Ullalim Festival, the event was changed to Bodong Festival by virtue of Provincial Ordinance No. 2016-029 authored by Board Members Fred Pangsiw and co-authored by Eddie Sarol to rekindle among the people of Kalinga the time-honored custom and tradition of peacemaking through the Bodong.

    Patuloy na lumalakas ang sektor ng turismo sa Kordilyera ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Tourism (DOT).

    The province launched the National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (NERBAC) as part of the two day festivities marking the 9th Matagoan Festival and 3rd founding anniversary of Tabuk as a city on June 24 to 25.

    NERBAC is a one stop shop that provides express lanes for businessmen seeking business registration, permits and licenses, thereby cutting problems on red tape.

    In Kalinga, the center is situated in Tabuk, being the trade and business hub of the province.

  • Tabuk Celebrates 7th Founding Anniversary Matagoan Festival

    With the theme 'Timpuyog, Gaget, ken Disiplina, Tabuk Rumang-ay Ka,' this city staged five day revelry on its 7th founding anniversary and 13th Matagoan Festival from June 23 to 27.

    The events started with the Matagoan Call or ayag with drum and lyre bands going around the city announcing start of festivities.

    It was followed by ecumenical ceremony, formal opening of the Agro-Industrial Fair, and the Search for Ms. Matagoan 2014 in the evening.

    The Agro-Industrial Fair had its soft opening on June 21 for early buyers of Kalinga products.
