Tipanud Festival For 7 Tribes Legislated In Davao Del Norte
Davao del Norte Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Datu Marcial Lig-onan successfully pushed for the passage of an ordinance enshrining a province-wide Tipanud Festival every fourth week of October to celebrate, showcase and promote the culture, tradition and products of the seven tribes of the province.
The seven tribes of Davao del Norte are Mansaka, Sama, Dibabawon, Mangguangan, Ata-Manobo, Mandaya and Kalagan.

ComVals Tribal Hall And Museum Opens In Capital Town
The Tribal Hall and Museum featuring the culture and traditions of six Indigenous Peoples (IPs) groups in Compostela Valley province is now open to the public.
The tribal hall will become the venue of primary activities and gathering of IP leaders and members in the province while the museum will house important artifacts, crafts and other creations signifying the distinct identities of each of the IP groups in the province.

Another mining company has joined the search for gold in the bowels of Mt. Diwata in Monkayo, Compostela Valley which has a gold deposit of $8 billion waiting to be tapped.
