Dumangas, Iloilo comes alive with the celebration of Haw-as Festival that opened in October 9 till November 1, 2016. The town is among the main centers of Iloilo's fish trade so it is appropriate that they hold a thanksgiving festival celebrating the harvest of good things from the sea and land.

Dumangas Tourism Industry Booming
The tourism sector of Dumangas town is inching up, according to Mayor Rolando Distura.
"Dumangas is a potential marine and coastal ecotourism destination. I believe that we have a lot to offer because we are endowed with natural resources," Distura said.
"We want to give tourists a fulfilling nature experience," he added.
Distura said they are planning to develop several nature spots in their town. These include Siete Picados, Lapus-Lapus, Matagsing Hill and Gi-Gi.
