Korea investors eye cable car project in Iloilo City Guimaras
Korean investors are eyeing a cable car project over the Iloilo Strait linking Iloilo City and the island province of Guimaras.
City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said that a big company based in Seoul, South Korea had been inquiring about the viability of a cable car project over the strait of about 1.7 nautical miles from the city as possible investment area in the near future.
Cable cars are one of the most convenient means of transportation for people in far-flung and high altitude areas in South Korea. Tourists usually use cable cars to see the natural attractions in the country.

Esplanade a field trip destination for pupils
The Division of Iloilo City Schools of the Department of Education has chosen the Iloilo River Esplanade as a field trip destination of pupils in 54 public elementary schools here.
Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog announced that he approved the request of the Division of City Schools through Division Superintendent Nelly Valerio to allow the elementary pupils to go to the Esplanade scheduled every Saturday.

The 1st Drilon Dragon Boat Festival along the Iloilo River is set to highlight the inauguration of the Iloilo River Esplanade project at the TreƱas Boulevard on Saturday.
Senator Franklin Drilon, along with Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao, will lead the inaugural rites of the P70-million river project funded by the senator's priority development assistance fund.
