    Gov Marcos Launches 7th Tan-ok In Ilocos Norte Bicentennial

    Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos on February 3 officially launched the 7th Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival of Festivals during the provinces bicentennial celebration.

    The Ilocos Norte politiko said the festival is the provinces pride despite being a relatively new festival.

    The word "tan-ok" or "kinatan-ok" means "greatness" in Ilocano.

    The streets of this city erupted in a whirl of color on Friday as some 7,000 locals joined the first ever "Tan-ok Festival of Festivals" dance parade to celebrate the province's bicentennial founding anniversary.
