Mount Hambubuyog is the highest peak of the quiet town of Ginatilan, Cebu. The mountain is located in Baranggay Mangcao, Sitio Hambubuyog on the mountainous regions of Ginatilan. The base of the mountain is surrounded by tropical trees and farmlands, while the peak is composed of a mixture of grassy hills and rocky slopes.

There's a relatively unknown mountain in the southern part of Cebu that I never heard of ??" Mt. Hambubuyog in the municipality of Ginatilan, Cebu. Mt. Bee, as we fondly call it, is a humble 820 MASL mountain peak and home to the Divine Mercy Chapel. Every year on Holy Week, pilgrims gather around the peak to commemorate the Lenten season. The narrow road is ideal for motorcycles (habal-habal) but it looked like a larger vehicle could also pass by. The rage of the storm does not hinder wandering souls to have another checks on their bucket list. Mt. Hambubuyog is definitely one of a kind!
It was Saturday noon when we arrived at Ginatilan Market after a 4-hour bus ride from Cebu City with awesome adventuregrammers, @vivomigsgee, @thelakwatsero, @roycats, @theislandboy, @emsmithcb, @iameleimath, @tonyericson15 and of course my tremendous pals @jumzchino and @wanderingsoulscamper. Not only once did we hear that question during our hike to Mt. Hambubuyog whenever we go asking some locals for some directions. We didn't have any guide and yes, it was only the three of us (Arjonnah, Janice and I) who took the challenge to continue the journey after visiting Kawasan Falls, Mainit Spring, Montaneza Falls, and Inambakan Falls on the same day. Climbing Mt Hambubuyog Ginatilan Cebu
We began the day with a trip to Inambakan falls few kilometers from town proper. After getting a splash from the gushing waters we began trekking going to our main destination Mt. Hambubuyog - marking our 5th mountain to summit.
It was an easy walk traversing a small river going to the main highway which took us about 30 minutes or so after asking directions from the kids we encounter along the way.
