Capiztahan Festival is the foundation anniversary celebration on April 13th to 15th in the Province of Capiz. The festivities is a weeklong celebration that exhibit and showcasing Capiznons heritage and culture. Other activities also include sports, outreach programs and tours.

In the late afternoon of April 23, Villareal Stadium in Roxas City, Capiz, bustled with eager spectators and harried but high-spirited performers in vibrant costumes of traditional attires, monsters and glittering gowns. One by one, the performing groups, representing their towns, roused the crowds with music and dances depicting the stories and cultures of their towns in the first street dancing event of the Capiztahan, the Western Visayan province's festival.

The "Seafood Capital of the Philippines" was filled with bright lights and colorful banderitas last April 14 to 17 as the province of Capiz celebrated its annual Capiztahan.

Seafood Capital Becomes City Of Million Lights During Festival
Roxas City's main streets glittered with more than a million colored lights on floats and dancers on Saturday as highlight of this year's Capiztahan festival.
The Parade of Lights, which passed through Arnaldo Boulevard, featured 15 floats depicting flowers, animals and sea creatures designed with colorful electric light bulbs. When these reached the beach area, a 30-minute fireworks display was held.
Thousands of spectators lined up the streets to watch, while many others danced, wearing bracelets, necklaces and headgear with colored lights.
