Hiking Mt Manalmon Madlum And Bayukbok Cave
Every holiday in a calendar is a day to be seized. We should spend it very wisely by doing things we want, be productive, make it memorable if possible and/or spend it with our love ones. Diwatas of Biak na Bato
In this day and age, one would be surprised that there are still those who believe in the existence of a "diwata" or fairy-like being that rules in so-called sacred mountains of the country. Tales of "Mariang Makiling" in the mountain ranges of Los Baños, Laguna; "Mariang Sinukuan," the goddess of Mount Arayat in Pampanga; and "Maria Cacao" in Cebu have kept mountain visitors and dwellers thinking if they really are just a pigment of the imagination.
Perhaps, for this reason, many who dare step into the shadowy upland forests crossed by rivers and waterfalls pay their respects to the diwat ...
