Mount Kitanglad is an inactive volcano located in the Kitanglad Mountain Range in Bukidnon province on Mindanao island. It is the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines and has an approximate height of 2,899 meters. It is located between Malaybalay City and the municipalities of Lantapan, Impasugong, Sumilao, and Libona.

was once a great flood that submerged the native lands of Bukidnon and only the tip of the mountain, the size of a "tanglad", lemon grass, remained visible. It is considered as an ancestral domain of several old cultural communities like the Bukidnons, Higaonons and Talaandigs.
Mount Kitanglad was proclaimed a protected area under the natural park category in 1996. In 2000, Mt. Kitanglad finally became a full-pledge protected area when Congress approved R.A. 8978 also known as the Mt. Kitanglad Range Protected Area Act of 2000. Fire Out Declared In Mt Kitanglad And Mt Kalatungan
After two weeks of continuous cloud seeding, rains finally saturated Mt. Kitanglad dousing out the fires that threatened the 47, 270-hectare national park in Bukidnon, officials said.
Office of Civil Defense Region 10 spokesperson Titus Velez said they have declared that the fires that threatened Mt. Kitanglad range for two weeks was successfully suppressed, thanks to the cloud seeding operations conducted by the Department of Agriculture.

The local boards tasked with managing protected areas have been ordered to revisit their fire prevention strategies, the Environment department said, after grass fires swept across four major mountains in Mindanao and on Negros Island.
