Burnham Park Improvement Seen To Add To Tourists Convenience
The Baguio City Council has approved a resolution to put up a waiting shed and a trellis at the vicinity of the Burnham Lake for the safety of tourists visiting Burnham Park.
The trellis will be placed as a safety measure to prevent anybody from accidentally falling in the lake.
The approved measure also includes the repair of all the stairs leading to the lake.
Vice Mayor Edison Bilog, who authored the resolution, said the measure is a clamor from boat concessionaires, locals and tourists in the area.

SM Baguio Spearheads Planting In Busol Watershed
In celebration of Cordillera Day, a total of 50,000 Benguet Pine seedlings were planted by the SM management and city government employees at an adopted site at the Busol watershed, last July 14, in this city.

Aqua Guard Assures Protection Of Tuba Waterways
Youth leaders and students from the different villages in Tuba, Benguet, formed Aqua Guard in a bid to protect their rivers and other waterways during an environmental youth summit under the Ridge to Reef Program held in Baguio City on July 5 and 6.

Public and private sectors in Baguio City have linked up to identify, conserve and preserve the city?s heritage sites and resources.
The City Council lauded the efforts of the University of the Philippines College Baguio Educational Foundation Inc. (UPCBEFI) through project leader Dr. Rowena Boquiren and other civil society organizations to pursue the Baguio Heritage Mapping Project.
