Benguet Marks 107th Anniversary Celebrates 12th Adivay Festival
The province of Benguet opened on Monday the 12th Adivay Festival, which coincided with the 107th foundation anniversary of the province. The celebration focused on strengthening the culture of Benguet.

Bright Prospects For La Trinidad Tourism Seen
La Trinidad Tourism Officer Valred Olsim is looking forward to a fruitful 2017 after the municipal council approved the town's P2.2 million funding for different programs for tourism.
"We are thankful that they have approved the budget for our institutionalized programs," Olsim said.
Olsim added the allocated budget will be utilized for the Foundation Day (P250,000), Strawberry Festival (P500,000); tourism summit (P100,000), Adivay Festival (P250,000), and other programs such as Sisterhood Programs (P300,000).

Adivay Festival Slated Nov 11-26
The province is set to celebrate its 116th founding anniversary thru the Adivay Festival this month but with less funfare given the impact of typhoons Lawin and Karen recently leading to the declaration of the province under state of calamity.
Governor Crescencio Pacalso said the provincial government will forego with activities such as parade and cañao and the festivities have been reduced to two weeks.

Benguet Gearing Up For Adivay
The Province of Benguet is looking forward to more festive celebration of the 116th staging of Adivay Festival this November.
Provincial administrator Atty. Noel Ngolob said Benguet governor Cresencio Pacalso already created a Technical Working Group (TWG) for the annual celebration, which gathers participation from 13 different municipalities.

A Day At Adivay 2015
After a trek at Talingguroy (upper Wangal), I rode a jeep going to downtown La Trinidad and along the way, at lower Wangal, traffic slowed down. Just nearby, inside the walled area was a big colorful tent and the ambiance was festive. I went down from the jeep and looked inside.
My guess was right. It was the Adivay festival being celebrated.
