DENR 6 to develop and rehab 2747 hectares of mangroves
The DENR-6 said it targets to develop and rehabilitate 2,747 hectares of mangrove and beach forest plantation in Western Visayas.
Forester Conrado B. Marquez, Regional Focal Person for Mangrove and Coastal NGP (National Greening Program) Sites, said the massive mangrove rehabilitation is to be implemented under the Mangrove and Forest Development Project (MFDP), which targets to develop 50,000 hectares nationwide.
