Salagdoong Forest Reserve and Beach is a favorite hangout for the locals on the weekends due its picnic structures. It has a water slide and a jumping board at several feet above the ground for a high jump into the sea. The beach is small and the sand strip is narrow, but its waters are crystal clear, and seen from above it displays an amazing turquoise color.
The bottom of the sea ...
is mostly made of sand, without the seaweeds and sea urchins, with a few edgy rocks and corals where you can spot a few small tropical fishes. It's located about 6km west of Maria, and to get there you have turn right on about 2km after Maria.

I'm so glad to have made it, and even thought I was only there for a short time I wanted to make sure I got to explore everything I could. Take this as a travel guide, or a story of my time, or just a fun 12 minute break from your day. I hope you enjoy!
Went to Dumaguete to see the Manjuyod Sand Bar for half a day.
Went straight to Siquijor afterwards. Gathered some quick footages and cut them right away compressing them on a 1 min video.
Paliton Beach Coconut Grove: It doesn't come as a surprise to find that Coconut Grove was exactly that. Paliton beach is short and has a small shoreline, but the coconut grove provides a certain charm to an otherwise unremarkable beach. While the small beach of Paliton had fine white sand, it was littered with seaweed. No one seems to be maintaining it, which is probably why there's no entrance fee.
