  • Volunteering On A Black Saturday

    Part of its mission to inspire and initiate leadership opportunities for its members, Children International Manila Alumni Association (CIMAA) regularly conducts community service project. This year on a Black Saturday, eight members of CIMAA (including our family and with a guest volunteer) helped build an earth dome for the Dumagat (indigenous community) in the mountains of Angat in Norzagaray, Bulacan. The said earth dome is part of an experimental project for the possible ecotourism project of the Sagip Sierra Madre Environmental Society together with the Dumagat in the community.

  • World Water Day Waste Water Is A Resource Conserve And Recycle It This Years Theme

    The weeklong observance of World Water Day, lasting until March 22, is under way with Philippine activities led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in coordination with the Interior department, private businesses like Maynilad, and advocacy NGOs.

    The theme for this year's United Nations-designated World Water Day is "Water and Waste Water."

    A year ago, I lived together with my friend, my sister. Our location is pretty strategic as it is near our workplace. It also gave us the opportunity to bond in and out of the house. One of them is hiking. We once went together for a dayhike in Mt. Batulao and our last one was Mt. Manalmon.
