  • Natonin Holds 2nd Sas Alliwa Festival On April 22 To 25

    The municipality of Natonin in Mountain Province will be holding its second "Sas-Alliwa" festival from April 22 to 25.

    Natonin mayor Atty. Anna Marie Paz Rafael Banaag, herself promoting the event in a "Kapihan" forum last week, said they are putting up innovations or new activities to spice up this emerging home-grown festival in the eastern town of Mt. Province.

    Towards the end of April I attended a 'Na'to' summit, or more precisely a nangato nga summit. This was off the slopes of Mt Amuyao in Mountain Province. This nato (nangato) event is called the Sas-Alliwa, a festival. This has nothing to do with that organization in the north atlantic, but more to do with the hot weather this recent summer in Mainit.
