An uncommon marine life visited the shoreline of Opol (within Roan Beach Resort and Apple Tree Resort and Hotel) approximately 3:00 in the afternoon today. The sighting was then reported to the nearest DENR office and made an action by the MENRO (Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer) of the Municipality.

I was on a weekend getaway with my family at Apple Tree Resort and Hotel in Opol, Misamis Oriental. After frolicking on the resort's swimming pool, we head on to the beach where my two kids had a grand time playing with the sands and the rolling waves. September 25, 2010 was the International Coastal Cleanup Day, so I flew up all the way to Cagayan de Oro City for the second time this month to participate in cleanup activities on the shore of Opol Beach and its underwater marine sanctuary. It was organized by Dive Special Diving Central and the Local Government Unit of Opol, Misamis Oriental.
