  • Bigger Budget For Restoration Of PHL Heritage Sites Sought

A senator on Monday recommended a bigger budget for the restoration of Philippine historical sites, noting that it would bring in more tourists and, at the same time, create more jobs.

In a press statement, Sen. Joel Villanueva expressed frustration on how the government is handling the conservation of the country's cultural heritage, particularly Intramuros, which only has P50-million budget this year, a huge cut from the P443-million allocation last year.

He did not mention how much of an increase he wanted but noted that the government should be more active in promoting sustainable pl ...

It's almost 4 pm when we left Intramuros and before leaving Manila, we headed to one last destination, the Baywalk of Manila Bay. The Baywalk is a long promenade (about 2 kilometers long ) overlooking the Manila Bay along the Roxas Boulevard.

Compare to Intramuros (Check : Intramuros) or Rizal Park (Check Rizal Park), the Baywalk has nothing much to offer but the place can be more appreciated if you visit the place in the afternoon to marvel the scenic and picturesque view of the sunset in Manila Bay.
