The 42nd edition of the International Bamboo Organ Festival will kick off on Feb. 16 and will run until Feb. 22. Among classical music enthusiasts here and abroad, the festival continues to be one of the most-awaited events every year. This year, a new pipe organ will be unveiled at the San Ezekiel Moreno Oratory. Together with the 19th century bamboo organ, this will delight the audience with music from different periods in time.
St. Joseph Church in Las Pinas City will be the main venue of the festival, while the San Ezekiel Moreno Oratory also in Las Pinas will host the closing concert.
The Zapote River Drive in Las Piñas was inaugurated Friday.
The three-kilometer road, which spans Lundos and Pamplona I, will serve as an alternate route to or from Cavite and Manila.
Motorists may avoid heavy traffic on Zapote Road by passing Zapote River Drive.
