Mimbalot Falls is one of the 39 amazing waterfalls in Iligan City. It also belongs to the so-called Tourism Triangle in the city, along with Tinago Falls and the Maria Cristina Falls.

The province of Lanao del Norte is home to more than a dozen waterfalls and the most well-known or recognizable ones are, without a doubt, the Maria Cristina Falls and the Tinago Falls. But there is such a thing as the "Tourism Triangle" of Iligan, and those two waterfalls are among the three. What completes the triangle is Mimbalut Falls.

Iligan is known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls because of the numerous waterfalls located within its area. There are about 24 waterfalls in the city, making it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Mindanao, both for backpackers and tourists alike.
Located in the province of Lanao del Norte, it is the industrial center of the south. Its name is derived from the Higaononword Ilijan. The name of the city originally means fortress of defense, being the site of frequent pirate and Muslim attacks during bygone eras.

#TeamHartHart have been having a blast travelling together for a few years but every September, Louie and I make it a point that we explore new places as a couple. This year we went South to explore Iligan City and it's water falls and the beautiful island of Camiguin.
We arrived at Laguindingan airport at around 9:30 p.m. We took a metered taxi (100 php) going to the bus stop where buses bound to Iligan takes in passengers. You can also take the airport shuttle to get there but Louie and I missed because of my upset stomach hahaha. Anyways…we took the bus bound to Iligan and paid 100 php ...
