Tulay na Bato Falls News
It might be a sorry part of our aging process but we realized that it's been a while since we last did even a moderate cross-country hike. It has also been raining in recent months thanks to the typhoon and southwest monsoon season. However a break in the weather earlier last week finally gave us a chance to trek to a waterfall in the forested highlands of Siniloan town in Laguna.
Laguna is best known for its waterfalls and there's a handful of them that we already know and maybe plenty of others we have yet to discover. One of these not so well-known and isolated waterfalls is Tulay Na Bato which is located within the lush mountains bordering the provinces of Laguna and Quezon. Unlike the other waterfalls such us Hulugan in Luisiana and Bukal in Majayjay which have made headlines in social media in the recent years, Tulay Na Bato on the other hand has always been around but is rarely spoken of. This actually makes the journey to the this waterfall special because redis ...
Tita Lucy, the woman behind Trekkers' Stop at the upland of the town Siniloan, once again invited me to drop by for another trek. This is after accommodating hundreds of visitors from different parts of the country who showed interest in seeing Tulay na Bato Falls and the rest of the falls around it after reading my blogs.
According to her, someone informed them about the presence of a cave in the mountains of Magsaysay, where hundreds of bats live in it.

So here is a rundown of our itinerary:
05:00 ??" meet-up at Star Mall, Mandaluyong
05:30 ??" Van left Star Mall to Tanay, Rizal (we opted to take this route ...
Siniloan, the northeastern most town of the province of Laguna, is home to numerous waterfalls that lie along its different river systems. This is without a doubt as it is nested at the foot of Sierra Madre, the longest mountain range in the country.
Its most popular attraction the waterfalls of Mount Romelo, specifically Buruwisan Falls. There are at least eight known waterfalls in Mount Romelo alone, some say that there are more unnamed ones that are yet to be exposed to public. Aside from Buruwisan F ...
We love to travel about without apparent plan: traipsing that is. We're true wanderlust. We traipse all over town looking for the right place to be.
Our destination this time is the Trekkers' Stop. We were here to hike up to the Tulay na Bato Falls.
Trekkers' Stop is located at Brgy Magsaysay which is well within the bounds of the town of Siniloan in Laguna. According to the locals, the place is located at Km. 17. However, that road marking was established years ago when the roads were a mere foot or horse trail. Now that the road has drastically improved, the place is now located around ...
