Baluarte Zoo News
I remember having a group tour in Ilocos back in my UP college days. That trip was my first encounter with the cute baby Tigers at Baluarte. The Pagudpud beach (blue lagoon) at that time was unspoiled yet without any infrastructures. I also had the opportunity to meet the beauty guru Cory Quirino in Ilocos.
Another spot in Ilocos Sur that people flock into. Just patience during weekends because it can be crowded. There's no entrance though but touring around on mobile has certain fees.
So heres one of the many dilemmas that most of us have probably been faced with: liking what we see but opposing the principle behind it. Im sure that applies to many scenarios and, for me, this is one of them. I love life and the freedom to live it to the fullest; I love animals and respect their right to live theirs freely as well. But heres the thing: I also like seeing them up close and more than half the time the only way we can do that is if they are in captivity. There lies the dilemma.
Today, I will be having a quick visit at the Baluarte Zoo, a lovely place to visit and they have this amazing museum. After that, we will be heading to eat lunch and will have a seafood feast! This will also be my last day in Vigan.

We decided to have our lunch in Hidden Garden : Lilong and Lilang Restaurant. The place was really great and everything looks festive but the crowd was equally overwhelming too. We were advised to wait for almost 2 hours just to get our turn. Of course, none of us are willing to wait for that long so we just came up with the idea t change our itinerary for a bit.
