There are a lot of places I consider to be special to me, and for various reasons. The best restaurant you've dined at. The coffee shop with the coziest interior and the best brew. Or it could be special because of the "first" factor. The first country visited. The first mountain climbed. The first island "hopped" on. The first amusement park visited Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is somewhat special to me, at least in that respect.

Second day in Ilocos! You can read about our first day here. And as I've mentioned in my previous post, I booked the tours thru our hotel. A tour guide was with us for this day and the next day. It was a jam packed day for us. Ganun talaga if you book tours, maybe next time we can DIY our tour na din. The problem with traveling with kids, schedules aren't always followed. Haha! I knew I have to be the one wake them up, feed them, change their clothes and fix our things for the day. So, I woke up extra early so I can eat breakfast peacefully at Cafe Bonita. Ha!
Before we landed in Laoag City, we HAD a planned itinerary. The weather forecast app warned us about heavy rains and scattered thunderstorms. So we had it all planned out. Let's do Plan A. If weather does not permit us, we'll do Plan B. But traveling does not always work that way. However convenient traveling from Davao to Ilocos by plane is, still got our energies drained. It was raining when we got there. So we just decided to sleep for the rest of the day, scrap all our plans out, and do what we do best: go traveling spontaneously.
