This beach is more popularly known as Blue Lagoon and is one of the many attractions that the Province of Ilocos Norte has to offer. Maira-ira Beach or Blue Lagoon News
Went to see the famous "Blue Lagoon" and the Kabigan falls during our last day in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. The whole trip was less exciting and adventurous than I expected.
The Great Start
He's pacing back and forth. 6am. That's the agreed time to meet. The tricycle driver, whom we've arranged to take us around, was late.
Got tempted more than one time to say something to my friend. For some reason, I just kept my mouth shut. I could understand why he was getting impatient, whilst I was a bit considerate with the whole situation. Patience isn't one of my virtues, as one ex-boyfriend to ...

We were in Pagudpud, and we just learned that the nearest ATM is in Laoag. We didn't have cash. Oh my, "How are we going to eat?" Haha!
This trip happened years ago. I don't know if Pagudpud has an ATM now, but during that time we were caught off guard. It just didn't cross our minds that a certain place could probably have no ATM. I was a newbie traveler that time, didn't make enough research before exploring a destination.

Pagudpud's most popular beach destination, Blue Lagoon is called as such because of the azure blue waters that can be found in this lagoon. It's a good place for families with kids thanks to Hannah's Resort and Convention Center, the largest resort in Pagudpud.
Some of the activities you can do in Blue Lagoon are riding a jet ski, surfing, and the longest over-water zipline in the country. Hannah's operates a zip line that's over 1 km long which will have tourists flying over Blue Lagoon.
Several surfing schools, like Surfville and Kapuluan Surf School, can be found along the shoreline o ...
Artist Jason Mraz once shared, "My home isn't about being grounded in one corner of the planet. It's about being in love and being lost in the middle of an amazing adventure, witnessing sunbursts over horizons of every time zone". I couldn't agree more… Spot on words that have never been spoken.
A cove is a small, circular to an oval type of bay or coastal inlet, usually with narrow, restricted entrances.
The Philippines, being an archipelago, have some well-tucked and serene coves perfect for swimming and bumming. These coves are ideal places for swimming because they are believed to ...
