    The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has designated a protected habitat to ensure the survival of critically endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtles, or more popularly known locally as "Pawikan," in northeastern Mindanao.

    In a post that's quickly going viral on Facebook, user Nathan Robinson shared photos of an Olive Ridley Sea Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) with a 4-inch straw completely embedded in its nostril. Another photo shows Robinson and a colleague removing the straw.
