    Developed by the Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC), Kopiat Island is a nesting site of the Greenback and Hawksbill turtle species. This 87-hectare island is part of the 6,106-hectare Mabini Protected Landscape.

    In data released from the provincial government, visitor arrivals in resorts and festivals leaped by 49% from 2014 to 2015. Visitor (day tour) arrivals in 2014 was pegged at 245, 956 then hiked to 500, 959 in 2015.

    Accommodation occupancy was pegged at 29,526 in 2014 upped by 71% in 2015 with occupancy reports at 41,133.
