Mount Mago News
For the last five months, most of my travels were all about islands and beaches in Southern Leyte and Cebu. Not that I don't enjoy it or not that I've become tired of it - that's impossible! It's just that I miss going to the mountains too! Ever since I broke my ankle late last year, I've become more anxious and kind of laying low on hiking and other rigorous activities that put too much pressure on my injury. Having too much pressure on my injury means uneasiness and pain on my fractured ankle - who would want that, right? Anyway, so last July 28-29, 2018, TriboAdobo is back to the mountains ...
Ive been climbing mountains for quite a while now, but I havent experienced night trekking yet. Not until last July 2017 when we ventured, once again, for another last-minute trekking plans under the influence of caffeine. It so happened that it was one of our friends birthday week. We decided it to be a birthday climb in Mt. Mago. With less than a day of preparation, we adjourned and went home to pack up our necessary gears.
One gloomy Saturday, together with our good friend Nina, we decided to do the boundary climb to Mount Mago in Carmen, Cebu. Because of the last-minute decision, I asked my sisters husband who happens to live in Carmen, to take us to the jump-off point.
The weekend is near and it only means a perfect time for the wanderer to explore the wilderness. People may find me crazy to spend my supposed rest time off work on Sundays to the wild, but I actually find it comforting to walk on hectares of land that comes with muddy, rocky, bushy trail up and down the hills. I enjoy hearing the tweets of birds, the relaxing sound of the nearby river or falls, the warm hugs of the breeze, and the splendid green panorama atop the mountains. In short, I find inner peace when Im with nature and it pays all the means to reach the peak.
The Mountains Of Danao Bohol Your Easy Ticket To Witness Sea Of Clouds Camping And Side Tours That You Probably Dont Know
Ever since that picturesque Mount Pulag Sea of Clouds sprouted in social media, I have been dreaming to witness that kind of natural spectacular wonder. But Mt. Pulag is far from Cebu and it requires a great deal of strength and stamina in order to reach its summit. Considering myself a weakling and lethargic one, I gave up the idea of climbing Mount Pulag. (But who knows, once my drive of climbing mountains returns and this leg injury of mine will heal maybe, just maybe, I'll go to the summit of Mt. Pulag, hehe!)
So what can I do now? Just purely hiking, I guess ??" chill hiking. HAHA!
Mt Mago One Of The Easiest Hike Destinations In Northern Cebu That Youd Probably Want To Wander For More
After having no trips and wanders for weeks, I thought I had already lost my sanity. Boredom had caused this sort of craziness that somehow made me converse with myself.
"I wanna go out again. . .(Where?…)
I long to have an excursion with friends. (Where!?…)
I yearn to be outside again away from the muddled sight in the city.(But where?…)
It would be a great idea hiking and climbing mountains again like in Osmeña Peak (probably! . . .) or perhaps chasing waterfalls like the one in Kawasan Falls (sounds good to me…) But not in the South again!!!! … How about in the nort ...
