  • Hot Logs Seized

    Authorities seized over P2.3 million worth of logs allegedly cut from the forests of Fuga Island in Aparri town over the weekend.

    The logs were seized from six men identified as Joseph Visario, Rudy dela Cruz, Sonny Trinidad, Ronald Pablo, Tomas Pablo and Edgar Valera, said town police chief Chief Inspector Mina Domingo.

    The suspects are facing charges for violating the anti-illegal logging law before the Aparri provincial prosecutor’s office.

  • Lallo Plants Lubeg Tree For Program

    To fulfill its goal as the ‘Lubeg’ capital of the country, the constituents of this town have planted almost 30,000 Lubeg trees in majority of its National Greening Program (NGP) plantation sites.

    Engr. Leopoldo Colosaga, environment officer, said 50 hectares of their reforestation project sites were already planted with Lubeg tree, while the other sites were also planted with forest and fruit bearing tree species.
