Mount Manalmon and Mount Gola Hike last December 23, 2016 located in San Miguel, Bulacan.
After that short hike up Mt. Manalmon with our buwis-buhay (death-defying) poses for posterity's sake, it was time for yet another adventure. From the summit we go down south in the bowels of the mountain that devours (manlalamon) – Bayukbok Cave.
We took on Bayukbok Cave 2 because Cave 1 is closed to the public due to safety per DENR. The idea of spelunking was a thrill in the beginning. It was a first for me…actually, for the three of us (Dexie, Matet and I). I have no comparison for the experience other than the photos and some stories from the more adventurous friends.

Another cave which played a great part during the period of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was this cute cave, just few meters from Yungib I and Yungib II. Among the three caves in this area, this is the smallest in terms of space.While inside this cave, the guides explained the history of it and how it gave a huge impact to our country.

Looking for a not-so-hardcore-climb with beautiful scenery + side trip adventures which is just 2-3 hours away from Manila? :) A twin day hike to Mt. Gola + Mt. Manalmon is the best place to be for the newbies in mountaineering and even for those experienced ones who just want a chill climb over the weekend.
