The Strawbery Festival is located in La Trinidad, Benguet. It is held annually from the 3rd week of March to the 1st week of April, showcasing La Trinidad's strawberries and strawberry products. The town celebrates a long feast with parades, trade fairs, sports leagues, contests and many other fun activities.

    After the colorful weekend parade in Baguio City, neighboring town La Trinidad also kicked off its month long 2019 Strawberry Festival with the opening of Strawberry Lane to the public.

    Valley Eyes Giant Cake For 2019 Strawberry Festival

    Benguet's capital town is gearing up for the annual La Trinidad Strawberry Festival and planning to showcase another giant cake as the centerpiece.

    Mayor Romeo Salda disclosed that members of the Strawberry Festival executive council have proposed the creation of another strawberry short cake but will still have to get the nod of the town's bakers association and the strawberry farmers, who will be asked to contribute fresh strawberries.

    Strawberry Festival secretariat and Municipal Tourism Officer Valred Olsim said there is still no specific size being eyed for the giant cake.

    27 Events Lined Up For La Trinidad Strawberry Festival

    Some twenty seven activities were lined up by the municipal government for the upcoming 37th Strawberry festival from March 9-27, 2018.

    Mayor Romeo Salda said that the agreed theme for this years celebration is "La Trinidad Strawberries Forever" which is to underscore that the famous strawberries will be in the municipality to stay.

    Mural Painting Contest Set During Strawberry Festival

    The walls of La Trinidad in Benguet will once again be filled with painted murals.

    The mural painting contest has long been part of the Strawberry Festival.

    It is designed to increase the students? awareness of the importance of agro-eco tourism, sportsmanship, unity and friendship.

    Paintings have been inked along the stretch of Kilometer 5 to 6, as the Mural Painting Committee have already started receiving entries from all high school, college students and out of school youths who must adhere to designs that incorporate this year's theme: "La Trinidad's Strawberries Forever."
