    Batangas Beaches Sample Weekend Itineraries

Creating a Batangas itinerary is a tricky exercise. It's something that I, born and raised in Batangas, has always known from the very beginning. Whenever a friend from Manila or other provinces would come visit and I would try to create one, I spend much more time than I probably should. That's especially true when it involves beach-hopping.

    Mt Gulugod Baboy Hiking

Here I am again with no travel guide.

I feel like there are already too many guides for Mt. Pinagbanderahan aka Mt. Gulugod Baboy. Besides, it has been more than two months since we hiked up this mountain with Filipina Explorer and her daughter Lia (who can also pass as my daughter, mind you). So, just like that entry about Mt. Arayat, here are photos taken during our climb to Mt. Gulugod Baboy in Mabini, Batangas.

As trekking and hiking become popular to the millenials, some of the companies created trekking and hiking clubs for employees to enjoy and socialize. Last month, our company trekking club hiked to Mt. Gulugod Baboy which is located in southern Batangas, specifically in Anilao where most scuba diving activities are done. It is actually a well-known diving site in the country and Mt. Gulugod Baboy is a famous side trip.

Sepoc Island Batangas Budget Travel Guide 2017

First things first. Sepoc isn't an island. It's a beach lacing the western tip of Maricaban Island in Tingloy, Batangas. It's the same island that harbors some of the municipality's other fast-rising beaches like Oscar Island (which is not an island either) and Masasa Beach.

Masasa Beach has drastically changed Tingloy, the only Batangan municipality that is not on mainland Luzon. When weekend warriors discovered that a stunning undeveloped cove lies just five hours away, they came in droves, pitching tents, setting up camps, and exploring what used to be known only to locals. If you're aft ...

Going Up Mt Gulugod Baboy In Batangas

Last weekend, I got roped in to going to Batangas. This isn't my usual day trip getaway because you all know I want to relax in a resort instead of giving myself more work, i.e., climbing mountains. I happen to really like civilization.

But my friend S's mom invited me to go, too, so that S would have someone to talk to. They knew someone who owned two mountains in Batangas. Dalawang bundok daw! Wow! And they wanted to see it before it was developed.

We left Manila at 6:30 am, with only short pit stops. We took the SLEX to Batangas City, and had a short detour because Sabang Bridge was c ...
